3D Printing FAQ

Everything you need to know about our 3D printing services.

What file types do you accept?

STEP/IGES preferred for best results. STL and 3MF are also accepted. If you have a different format, contact us and we'll work it out.

What is the minimum order?

$15 minimum per order. This covers machine setup, material handling, and quality inspection regardless of part size.

How fast can you turn around a print?

Same-day turnaround is available for rush orders. Standard lead time is 3–5 business days. Economy (6–10 days) is available at a discount. Turnaround depends on part size, quantity, and current queue.

What materials do you offer?

Day-to-day FDM materials: PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, Nylon, and Carbon Fiber blends. Available by request: PC, PC-ABS, HIPS, PVA, PP, POM/Acetal, ESD-Safe, Flame-Retardant, High-Temp, Specialty PLAs, and Glass-Fiber Blends. SLA resins: Standard, Tough, Flexible, Castable, and Dental.

What is the maximum build size?

Currently 350×350×350mm on our largest FDM printers. Expansion to larger build volumes is planned. For parts exceeding this size, contact us to discuss options like splitting and bonding.

Do you support multi-color or multi-material prints?

Yes — up to 16 colors on select Bambu H2D printers. Dual-nozzle multi-material printing is also available on our Bambu X1 Carbon fleet.

What tolerances can you hold?

Depends on geometry, material, and print orientation. Typical FDM tolerances are ±0.2–0.5mm. For critical fits, we offer test coupons so you can verify before committing to a full run.

Do you offer volume discounts?

Yes. Automatic discounts apply at 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100+ units. The more you order, the lower the per-part cost. Use our online quote tool to see exact pricing.

How do I get a quote?

Upload your STL file to our instant online quote tool. You'll get a price breakdown immediately. For complex projects or materials not listed, contact us for a manual quote.

What build plates are available?

We offer Textured PEI (default), Smooth PEI, Hologram, and Engineering build plates — all at no extra cost. The build plate determines the finish on the bottom surface of your print.

Which build plate should I choose?

Textured PEI is the default and works great for most prints. Choose Smooth PEI for a glossy bottom, Hologram for decorative/display pieces, or Engineering for high-temp materials like PC, ABS, or Nylon.

What post-processing options do you offer?

Support removal, sanding, priming, UV cure (SLA), clear coat, and assembly (inserts, bonding, sub-assembly). Select finishing options when quoting.

Do you offer SLA/resin printing?

Yes. We have Anycubic Photon 5 Max, Formlabs Form 3, and Formlabs Form 4 resin printers for ultra-fine detail and smooth surfaces. Standard, Tough, Flexible, Castable, and Dental resins available.

What is the warranty on 3D printed parts?

1-year warranty on all custom 3D printed parts against manufacturing defects. This covers issues with layer adhesion, dimensional accuracy, and material defects — not wear from normal use.

Can you print from my 3D scan or sketch?

Yes. We offer 3D design and modeling services. Send us a sketch, photo, or 3D scan and we'll create a print-ready file. Visit our 3D Design & Modeling page for details.

Do you ship nationwide?

Yes, we ship throughout the USA. Local pickup is also available at our Flanders, NJ facility. Shipping costs are quoted separately based on weight and dimensions.
